First and foremost, this is a fan site. Domo-kun is copy written and trademarked by NHK Japan. This fan site is not a challenge to the ownership of Domo or the brand. Indeed, we are huge fans. We have a DVD of Domo in his prime. Little Domo is just a smaller version of the larger stuffed Domo you see here from time to time.
Now, that being said, the “character” Little Domo, his story, as well as the other characters like Friendy Wendy, Bounce, Monkey, Minkey, Clue and Clue2, these are characters with a story that have been created over a period of time. These ideas, as well as their personalities, are mine. I respectfully request being notified whenever they are being used outside of this site. We provide coloring pages and word searches for parents to print for their children and you can send those to whichever parent wants them, but they are not to be added to other sites for download. A link back to the page featuring the download would be a bunch more appreciated.
I created this site as a way to give back to the Domo community, especially the younger ones that are just now coming into their own with Domo and his antics. Please don’t ruin it for them. Unless they are already showing, we plan to have homemade videos of Little Domo and Friends available for viewing. There’s music in them that I wrote and created specifically for the videos. That music is for this site only (Lord knows I can’t imagine who in their right minds would want to steal it).
The characters are voiced by myself and my family that aren’t too embarrassed to assist me with this endeavor.
One issue that I expect to get feedback over is the coloring pages. Sometimes the tooth count is incorrect. These pages are AI generated, and, well, it makes mistakes that I sometimes don’t catch at 2am when I’m updating the site and only see after it’s live. Various number of teeth can always be a way to help your young one learn to count! Always better to place a positive spin on potential issues. 🙂
Another issue I expected to run into is Big Domo’s lore for this site and story. Yes, Little Domo and Friendy Wendy both speak English, but they also speak Domo. Big Domo, as per his lore and his creator’s vision, only speaks Domo, and only says “Domo”. This is out of respect for the creator of the character, Tsuneo Gōda.
